Privacy
When Ideagents tools are called, the fields listed below are sent through Firebase Hosting to a record-checking service operated by Ideation Lab, Corp. and hosted on Google Cloud Run. The service processes them in transient memory to check the record and derive outputs. The application does not store them or log their content. Firebase Hosting and Google Cloud Run may process ordinary request metadata; the service's metadata in the Google Cloud default log bucket is currently retained for 30 days. ChatGPT may also attach its own request metadata, as described below. ChatGPT processes your sessions under the terms and settings of your ChatGPT account, which govern retention of your conversation. The hosting for this website may process ordinary request logs. Questions: see Support.
Plugin and record-checking service
Ideagents is a plugin used in ChatGPT: a set of instructions, plus tools that call a stateless record-checking service. It requires no separate account or separate model key. ChatGPT performs all reasoning, and the service calls no model.
An older private skills-only build has no connection to this service. The rest of this page describes the current private build.
Data sent when a tool is called
Record fields are sent to the service when a tool is called. ChatGPT may also contact the service to connect and discover its tools. These connection and discovery requests are not tool calls; they carry protocol metadata and usually no record content. A tool call can carry:
- An optional profile selector, used to choose a profile from the catalog.
- The bounded current record: its objective, selected profile, explicit overrides of roles, mode, depth, challenge, pauses, documentation and diagrams, and its constraints, unknowns and next action.
- The record's decisions, with their IDs, text, statuses, rationale and supersession links, plus relationship links, revisions and artifact hashes.
- The explicit changes being applied to that record, and minimal direction text from you when a decision is selected or a selected decision is changed.
- For revisions, the expected revision and hash. For exports, the selected outputs and the expected hash.
The ChatGPT model fills these fields from your conversation, so anything you state in a session can be included in a call. Do not put credentials or confidential information in a session that may use the tools. The skills instruct the model to tell you before its first record or export call, not to send full transcripts and, if you choose, to keep content in chat as an unchecked draft. These are instructions to the model, not controls enforced by the service, and responses can vary.
ChatGPT may also attach optional metadata to a request. OpenAI's plugin reference lists locale, user agent, a location hint that it describes as coarse (city, region, country, time zone, longitude and latitude), and anonymized subject, session and organization identifiers. This page does not state which of these fields a given request contains. The application does not read these fields into its record checks, store or log them, use them for analytics or authentication, or return them in the capsule.
Purpose
The service uses these fields to return the defaults for the six profiles, check revisions, statuses, supersession and freshness, and derive matching Markdown, safe Mermaid source and a portable JSON capsule with a content hash.
Processing and storage
The fields are held in transient memory while the request is processed. The application has no database, does not log application content and does not intentionally persist it. It makes no outbound network requests or model calls and runs no background jobs.
The current record stays in the ChatGPT conversation or in a capsule you copy. Direction text is processed transiently and is not retained in the returned record or capsule. A content hash does not prove user approval, facts, history or identity.
Hosting metadata
Backend tool requests are addressed to https://ideagents.ai/mcp. Firebase Hosting routes them to the service on Google Cloud Run, and the fields listed above pass through Firebase Hosting in transit. Both platforms may process ordinary request metadata, which can include IP address, request time, requested URL and browser details. This metadata is distinct from record content. The service's ordinary request metadata in the Google Cloud default log bucket is currently retained for 30 days. This period applies only to that bucket; it does not describe administrative audit logs or other logs held by Google Cloud or Firebase.
ChatGPT processing
Ideagents runs on the ChatGPT host model. ChatGPT processes the prompts, files and responses in a session. The host's terms and privacy policy, and the settings of your ChatGPT account or workspace, govern that processing, including data retention. Ideation Lab, Corp. does not control it.
Website
This is a static website. Setup choices for workflow, profile, roles, mode and output are processed in your browser to generate text; they are not sent or saved. The site has no analytics or model calls, and its page code sets no cookies. The Copy setup and Copy prompt buttons write to your device clipboard only when selected and transmit nothing.
The website's hosting may process ordinary request logs, which can include IP address, request time, requested page, referring page and browser details.
